Wireless carrier T-Mobile USA has announced today the introduction of the HTC Touch Pro2 mobile phone into the country. The operator's customers will have the opportunity to enjoy a stylish device that comes with touchscreen capabilities and can deliver a seamless connectivity and Internet browsing experience. The powerful Windows Mobile-based handset will become available for purchase starting August 12 and will feature a mocha finish.

The specification list of the new mobile phone shows Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g) connectivity, as well as 3G capabilities, built-in GPS receiver, stereo Bluetooth, a side-sliding full-QWERTY keyboard, as well as a 3.6-inch color WVGA touchscreen. In addition, the HTC Touch Pro2 also delivers a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper with video recording capabilities, not to mention the email, gaming, multimedia and sharing capabilities it packs.

Travis Warren, director, product marketing, T-Mobile USA, stated: “We are pleased to announce the HTC Touch Pro2, a uniquely designed device that will help customers manage their day-to-day activities, whether they are in the office or working from an airport, the local playground or the car.” Jason Mackenzie, vice president of HTC America, commented: “The HTC Touch Pro2 offers the most powerful productivity experience available on a mobile phone, while also delivering unparalleled elegance in both its exterior and user interface design.”

Other features of the new mobile phone also include speakerphone, the Straight Talk technology, integrated e-mail and voice experience, access to Microsoft Voice Command, as well as viewing, editing and updating Microsoft document functionality. The operating system running on the device is Microsoft's Windows Mobile 6.1, though it is a modified version, which features great integration with HTC’s latest TouchFLO 3D UI.

According to T-Mobile, the HTC Touch Pro2 should become available for purchase all around the country starting mid-August. Customers will be able to get it from T-Mobile retail stores, select authorized dealers and online on the carrier's site.
