Wireless carrier T-Mobile UK has joined the party, and announced the release of the new Android 2.2 Froyo software update for the HTC Wildfire owners on its airwaves. The software solution started to arrive on HTC Wildfire devices around the European market since Monday, when HTC announced it officially.

Vodafone UK was the first wireless carrier in the country to start delivering the operating system upgrade to its HTC Wildfire owners, and T-Mobile went official with the move as well.

Here's what the wireless carrier announced via a post on its forums:

2.2 Update for the HTC Wildfire

Hi All, As you will have seen HTC have announced that Android 2.2 will begin rolling out for the HTC Wildfire this week. We are pleased to confirm that customers with T-Mobile branded handsets will be receiving this update at the same time.

As with all HTC updates this will be a phased release over the coming weeks and you will receive an alert on your handset when it is ready to update.

Thanks Sorcha, Forum Team

HTC Wildfire was brought to the market earlier this year, as the smaller version of the HTC Desire, which already tasted the OS upgrade a few months ago.

HTC promised the release of this OS upgrade for its Wildfire devices a while ago, and it finally started to deploy it to users, providing them with a nice range of improvements.

According to HTC, the roll-out of the new Android 2.2 OS update for Wildfire should be completed by February next year.

Among the enhancements the new solution would include, we can count increased overall performance levels, support for Adobe Flash Player 10.1, the possibility to put apps on SD cards, and more.

Hopefully T-Mobile would be able to deliver the Android 2.2 Froyo upgrade to its Wildfire users as soon as this week, and nothing would delay the roll-out.
