Wireless operator T-Mobile UK announced recently the introduction of a new International Pass for its prepay customers, so that they are able to stay in touch with their friends and family around the world with only 5p per minute. According to the mobile phone carrier, the new International Pass is set to become available as soon as today, March 8, and delivers low rates calling to more than 50 countries worldwide, including Australia, France, Germany, China, and the USA.

According to the wireless carrier, the new International Pass has been designed so as to offer excellent call rates to over 50 popular countries globally, and it comes with “up to 75% off calls to mobiles, up to 50% cheaper calls to landlines and 25% lower text rates than before.” Moreover, the company also notes that it offers the best voice calls (pence per minute) rates when compared to rival mobile network operators in Australia, France, Germany, Ghana, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Romania, Spain, USA.

At the same time, T-Mobile UK notes that the new International Pass is set to become available for all new and existing customers, who will benefit from now on from similar rates as pay monthly customers on International options. Those T-Mobile users who already have the Pass will automatically benefit from the new rates starting today, and other customers can also choose the special rates through texting INT to 441 free of charge.

Jonathan Senior, prepay marketing manager at T-Mobile commented on the announcement, “We now offer some outstanding International rates on pay as you go, with calls to many countries starting at 5p per minute. The new International Pass lets our customers enjoy lower priced calls and texts to friends and family abroad, on top of their great value local calls. Best of all, there are no confusing rules or entry requirements like some of our competitors, all our customers can simply opt in with a free text.”
