T-Mobile joins the UK-based carriers that announced the upcoming availability of the Nokia Lumia 800. The operator has just confirmed it will carry the Lumia 800 beginning next month.

Although no price options have been unveiled, T-Mobile stated that Nokia Lumia 800 will be available in stylish matt black on a range of contracts across all of T-Mobile’s direct retail channels, including T-Mobile shops, T-Mobile telesales and the T-Mobile online shop.

According to T-Mobile UK, the Nokia Lumia 800 will be free to customers who take out a £30 per month on a 24 month price plan.

Unveiled last week during Nokia World 2011, the Lumia 800 is Nokia's first Windows Phone 7.5 Mango smartphone.

Design-wise, Lumia 800 features the same form factor as the sleek N9 MeeGo-based smartphone, which was launched a few weeks ago.

Just like the N9, the Nokia Lumia 800 is cut from a single piece of polycarbonate, hence it features a unibody design with non-replaceable battery.

The Lumia 800 is a stunning looking phone and will be a great addition to our handset offering in the run up to Christmas. When matched with one of our flexible price plans, it is the perfect choice for those wanting the latest feature packed smartphone at an affordable price point,” said Pippa Dunn, Chief Marketing Officer, T-Mobile UK.

It comes with a curved 3.7-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen based on Nokia's ClearBlack display technology. The screen supports 16 million colors and a WVGA 800×480 pixels resolution.

The Lumia 800 is currently the most powerful Nokia smartphone, as the device is equipped with a 1.4 GHz single core Qualcomm MSM8255 processor and a 3D Graphics HW accelerator.

It packs 16GB of internal memory and 512 MB of RAM, but lacks a microSD card slot for memory expansion.

Another strong point of the device is the superior 8-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus and dual-LED flash.
