Customers will need to add a tablet to a T-Mobile voice plan

Do you have a tablet and want to stay connected at all times? T-Mobile has an interesting offer for you that starts on April 12.

The carrier is campaigning to change the way customers pay for voice, text and data plans. Earlier this week, T-Mobile has rolled out the Simple Starter plan that allows customers to receive unlimited talk and text, plus 500MB of 4G data for only $40 / €28 a month.

Now the carrier is also targeting tablets. So, as mentioned above, starting April 12, if you add a tablet to your voice plan, the magenta carrier will be awarding you 1GB of free data until the year comes to an end. 1GB is more than enough if you’re looking to check your email or social media accounts wherever you are.

If you’re a new customer, you will be getting 1GB of free 4G LTE data each month until 2014 comes to a halt. After that, T-Mobile is going to lower the offer and give you only 200MB of free 4G data each month.

If you’re already signed with the carrier, T-Mobile is giving you $10 / €7 credit, so you get to enjoy the same treatment.

Customers can purchase the tablet directly from the carrier, including the Google Nexus 7, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 or the Apple iPad Air. However, T-Mobile allows you to bring in an existing 4G tablet to the party or trade in a Wi-Fi model for a 4G capable one.
