Troubles because of faulty screens

Many people assumed that T-Mobile has recalled the 5610 model; actually, they have only stopped sales due to a certain technical problem on some of the units. The “bad” component is causing the Led display to go blank and obviously when that happens, the phone is not much of use unless you know it by heart inside and out.

The risks of this happening to your phone if you own a Nokia 5610 are pretty low for there are probably only a handful of these defective devices out there; still, Nokia wants to make sure that the problem will be fixed and not reaper later, so stopping the sales seems to be the right choice. If you own such a defective device, you are advised to take it back to the T-Mobile store where you got it in the first place and “discuss the available options”.

T-Mobile has listed Nokia 5610 XpressMusic as Temporarily Out of Stock for the moment, until the flaw is corrected. Both companies issued a statement that explains the whole process of replacing the faulty mobile phones. Here it is,

“T-Mobile has temporarily discontinued sales of the Nokia 5610 XpressMusic to address a defective component in some units that may cause the LED display to go blank. Although we believe the issue to be limited to a very small percentage of devices, T-Mobile and Nokia are committed to providing the best customer experience, which is why we are temporarily suspending sales of the device until Nokia has resolved the issue. If a customer has purchased a Nokia 5610 XpressMusic and is experiencing issues with their device, they should contact T-Mobile Customer Care or visit a T-Mobile retail store, to discuss available options”.
