Mobile phone carrier T-Mobile USA is expected to bring to the market in the near future a new Sidekick device, this time one that would include support for its HSPA+ network.

No official announcement on the matter was made for the time being, but the company already put up a special page on its website, offering users the possibility to sign-up to receive updates on when would the handset become available for purchase.

“Coming soon: a 4G Sidekick powered by Android. Running on America's Largest 4G Network. Sign up today to find out more,” one can read on the said page.

Rumors on the possible arrival of this device at T-Mobile emerged a while ago, but nothing was certain until now.

However, specific info on the mobile phone lack at the moment, and it might still take some time before the carrier unveils something officially.

Previous rumors on this device suggested that it might be manufactured by Samsung, and not Sharp, as were the previous Sidekick models.

Since Samsung already brought to shelves various Android phones, among which we can count the Nexus S or the Galaxy S, it won't come as a surprise if the new device comes from this company.

Especially since T-Mobile was the one to own the “Sidekick” name, and not Sharp.

In all fairness, these are only suppositions for the time being, and only an official announcement would shed more light on the matter.

What is certain for the time being is that Sidekick fans would soon be able to enjoy access to T-Mobile's upgraded HSPA+ network too, while receiving a taste of Google's Android OS.

Specific details on when would this device become available for purchase lack at the moment, and info on the price tag it might feature was unveiled either.

For the time being, T-Mobile Sidekick fans can head over to the said page on the company's website to register for updates on this phone's arrival.
