The popular mid-range mobile phone Nokia 5310 XpressMusic, which could be seen up until now in red, is getting new looks on T-Mobile's networks, as the carrier has recently added to its offering two more versions of the device, the “White Aqua” and “White Silver.”
For what it's worth, the new color variants of
the handset won't cost those interested in them more than the original version, but neither will they bring anything new in terms of specifications, for they are identical with those in the previous version, except, of course, for the color scheme.
Another interesting thing that should be noted is the fact that the carrier is offering the
Nokia 5310 XpressMusic in its new coats for free with a two-year contract agreement. Since this music-ready device is a rather good option, it should see great traction from the cell phone operator's users, especially given the price offer.
The thin Nokia 5310 XpressMusic is able to offer customers, besides the MP3 player that would be expected with a music
device, FM radio, dedicated music keys, and a full 3.5mm headphone jack, as well as stereo Bluetooth capabilities, a QVGA display, video playback, Flash Lite 2.1, memory card slot, Speaker phone, as well as messaging capabilities including AOL, Yahoo!, MSN, and ICQ Instant Messenger, and predictive text input so that users will be able to type their messages faster.
The device measures 1.8 x 4.1 x 0.4 inches and weighs 3.0 oz. It includes an 860 mAh Li-ion battery, able to offer up to 3 hours of talk time, as well as up to 12 days of standby time. The Nokia 5310 XpressMusic offers connectivity with 850 MHz, 1800 MHz, 1900 MHz frequency standards, and it sports a 2-megapixel photo snapper that also includes video recording capabilities.
