Samsung’s popular overgrown phone disguised as a tablet, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is apparently getting the long awaited Google Android Ice Cream Sandwich update. The new tablet is over one month late in getting the much desired Android 4.0.4 version, but we believe that it’s better late than never.

The mobile phone company is reporting that there will not be any over the air (OTA) upgrade option available.

On the other hand, there are reports that say there are users that have already received the new version through an OTA option.

Officially, you need Samsung Kies to manually install the update so get ready to fiddle with your touch device and hop on the ICS wagon to enjoy the new improvements and bug fixes.
