Good news for T-Mobile customers that own the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 tablet, as the carrier has just kicked off the rollout of the highly anticipated Android 5.0 Lollipop update.

AT&T was the first carrier to offer the update in the United States, and now T-Mobile offers those who own the tablet the chance to upgrade to Lollipop.

According to T-Mobile, beginning May 18, the Samsung Galaxy S Tab 10.5 received a software update to Android 5.0.2 Lollipop (baseband T807TUVU1BOE1).

Although the only thing mentioned by the update's changelog is “features and improvements,” we already know Android 5.0.2 Lollipop brings quite a lot of changes.

Material Design, new notifications and lockscreen improvements, battery saver, are just a few of the new features and enhancements included in the update.

T-Mobile also confirms that the update is available OTA (over the air), so make sure your smartphone is connected to a Wi-Fi network prior to downloading it.

You will also need your tablet's battery to be at least 50% charged and make sure you have enough storage since the update has 1.1GB in size.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 owners can manually check for the update by heading to Settings, General, About device, Software update.
