New products might be launched

It seems that T-Mobile is preparing a surprise for us on April 21 in New York City, as the company is reported to have announced a press event for that date, though it hasn't disclosed any further details on what will be presented on the occasion. However, rumor has it that the fourth largest wireless carrier in US is getting ready for the launch of new products.

What the mobile phone operator could be preparing to unveil on April 21 might very well be a second handset powered by the Google Android operating system. As many of you probably already know, the HTC Magic, the successor of HTC Dream (or T-Mobile G1), is expected to come to the market in the following weeks, as it has passed by FCC already, so it might get unveiled in New York on April 21.

In case the company announces the second Google phone at the event, it might as well unveil the long expected Cupcake development update for the Android operating system, which is said to come around with an on-screen keyboard for the T-Mobile G1. Latest rumors on the name the HTC Magic will have with T-Mobile also suggest that the launch of the device is near.

On the other hand, the T-Mobile Sidekick LX 2009 has just been spotted in the FCC courtyard featuring 3G capabilities, and the handset that will be announced on April 21, if any, could just as well be this one. In case it gets announced officially at the press event, the device would make some of the carrier's users happy for sure, as it brings both good looks and nice capabilities.

Finally, some speculations would point towards an announcement regarding the release of the HTC Touch Pro2 or Touch Diamond2, yet, given the fact that these phones have been announced to come with Windows Mobile 6.5, and that no signs of the operating system being ready yet have surfaced, this guess is rather unlikely to become reality.
