Following the official unveiling of Nokia’s new Lumia 520 smartphone at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, wireless carrier T-Mobile USA went official with plans on adding it to its offering, under the name of Lumia 521.

The new mobile phone will be available in the United States exclusively on the network of T-Mobile, with support for its 4G HSPA+ connectivity, and with the Windows Phone 8 operating system loaded on top.

According to the wireless carrier, the Lumia 521 “is a perfect, everyday smartphone that will embody a range of high-end features at an affordable price.”

However, the mobile operator did not offer specific info on the handset’s launch date, or on the price tag it might feature when made available. The hardware specs of the device should be the same as those of the international model.
