Apart from making the Lumia 640 available for purchase starting today, US-based carrier T-Mobile announced an interesting incentive for those who are looking to buy a decent Android tablet for themselves or offer it as a gift.

Beginning today and for a limited time, T-Mobile offers the LG G Pad F 8.0 for free to celebrate Father's Day. Customers who wish to make their dads a nice gift without having to pay anything upfront can now take advantage of this offer.

However, keep in mind that in order to get the tablet for free you will need to sign up for a 24-month contract at T-Mobile, which will see you paying $10 each month for two years.

If you decide to go for this offer, then you should know that you will also receive 1GB of mobile data. It's also worth mentioning that customers that decide to cancel their subscription before the two years agreed upon will have to pay out the rest of the contract, up to a total of $239.76.

Lollipop and LTE support make this tablet very appealing

As for the LG G Pad F 8.0 specs, the slate ships with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, along with LG UX on top.

On the inside, the tablet is equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, which is complemented by an Adreno 305 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.

The G Pad F 8.0 is packed with 16GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card slot.

As the name suggests, the tablet sports an 8-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 800 x 1280 pixels resolution.

There's also a 5-megapixel camera in the back with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front there's a modest 2-megapixel camera for selfies.

Connectivity-wise, LG G Pad F 8.0 offers LTE support, as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0, and GPS with AGPS.
