It's also $0 and $5.41 per month for 24 months

T-Mobile has finally released the Lumia 640 after months of waiting. The smartphone made its debut in the United States at Cricket Wireless where it's still up for purchase for $130 outright.

That is exactly the same price that T-Mobile is asking for its carrier-branded Lumia 640. Also, customers can also get the smartphone for $0 down and $5.41 per month for 24 months.

Keep in mind though that the smartphone is available on “Ship to (direct fulfillment)” system, which means that after your order the Lumia 640 online or via telesales, the devices will be shipped to a supplied address or local T-Mobile store.

The Lumia 640 will ship with Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 right out of the box and is fully compatible with Windows 10 Mobile Technical Preview builds that Microsoft is currently releasing.

As for what it has to offer in terms of specs, the Lumia 640 is a decent smartphone powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, an Adreno 305 graphics processing unit, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.

You will also be able to get it from Walmart on June 20

That amount of storage will definitely not be enough for an average user, but Microsoft also included microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 128GB).

On the back, the smartphone packs an 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 1-megapixel camera for video calls.

T-Mobile Lumia 640 sports a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

If you don't want to order the smartphone directly via T-Mobile, you might want to know that Walmart plans to stock the Lumia 640 as well. Unfortunately, it's unclear how much the retailer will ask for the smartphone.
