Wireless carrier T-Mobile USA has just announced the launch of a new smartphone on its airwaves, the Android-powered T-Mobile myTouch, which comes with support for the operator's new super-fast HSPA+ mobile broadband network.

According to the company, the new device can offer an enhanced user experience to its customers, while keeping families in touch at all times.

The handset comes with appealing features, including video chat capabilities, photo and video sharing, as well as the ability to offer 4G speeds on T-Mobile’s new network.

“Taking advantage of the 4G speeds on T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network, the new myTouch delivers a faster and more compelling experience than most competing smartphones on the market,” said Andrew Sherrard, vice president, product management, T-Mobile USA.

“Our continued focus to build innovative new features and personalized services truly makes myTouch unique.”

Through its front-facing camera, the handset enables video chat on Yahoo! Messenger or QIK, while offering presence information integrated into the address book and the possibility to leave Video Mail with Qik when people are unavailable for conversation.

The specifications list of the new device includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHz MSM8255 processor, a brilliant 3.8-inch WVGA touch-screen display, a 5-megapixel camera, or microSD memory card slot with a pre-installed 8 GB card.

Running under Google's Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, the new mobile phone also comes with virtual keyboard and Swype for easy text input.

Another appealing feature of the new T-Mobile myTouch is its DLNA functionality, through which one can share photo albums, videos and movies wirelessly with compatible HDTVs or DLNA devices.

The new mobile phone also sports a high-quality HD Camcorder, as well as three exclusive myTouch features: Genius Button, Faves Gallery, and myModes.

According to the wireless carrier, the new T-Mobile myTouch should become available for purchase on its airwaves in time for the holiday season in four colors, including white, black, plum and red.
