During the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, wireless carrier T-Mobile officially announced plans to add the LG G Flex smartphone to its offering, and the company has already kicked off the pre-registration period for the device.

Users interested in making a purchase should head over to this page on the operator’s website to register their interest in the device.

You’ll have to provide a valid email address so that T-Mobile can contact you with info on the handset’s availability.

Unfortunately, the carrier did not provide specific info on when the LG G Flex will be put up for grabs, though it might not be too long before it does so.

Other wireless carriers in the country are also getting ready for the launch of the Android-based smartphone, and T-Mobile will certainly try to keep up with them.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the handset was launched with a 6-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) curved touchscreen display and with a 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor inside.

LG G Flex also features 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory, while being powered by a 3400 mAh battery. It comes with support for T-Mobile’s 4G LTE network.

On the back, the mobile phone sports a 13-megapixel camera, with full HD video recording capabilities, complemented by a 2.1MP front camera for making video calls.

According to the wireless carrier, this is “the world’s most uniquely immersive smartphone.” Furthermore, T-Mobile lists some of the main selling points of the device:

- The large, uniquely curved OLED screen provides an innovative cinematic viewing experience.

- The curve feels natural in your hand and follows the contours of the face, putting the microphone and speaker into optimal position for outstanding voice and sound experiences.

- Live freely with a self-healing back designed to help recover from the minor scratches of everyday wear and tear.
