Previously leaked two weeks ago when a photo of the device made it on Flicker, the HTC Ruby has just been spotted again with T-Mobile's logo.

Although previous rumors were pointing to HTC Ruby as a Windows Phone 7 smartphone, it looks like the latest photo published by the guys over at Pocketnow shows that the Ruby is in fact an Android smartphone.

However, little is known about the phone's hardware configuration, except that the Ruby is slated for a T-Mobile release sometime in the near future.

The phone leaked for the first time in July when the photo sharing service Flicker outed a few photos made with the HTC Ruby.

HTC Ruby was dubbed as a T-Mobile USA variant of the HTC Arrive, which is a Windows Phone 7 smartphone, but after the latest information emerged it looks like the Ruby will be a mid-budget Android-based smartphone.

As seen in the pictures, the Ruby sports a camera with dual LED flash and 3.5mm audio jack. Furthermore, the phone will be available in white, but additional color schemes may be available as well.

According to the latest hearsay, the HTC Ruby won't be launched under the MyTouch family logo due to the lack of the Genius button, instead it may be one of the six to eight additional handsets that HTC's CEO, Peter Chou said that we should expect from the Taiwanese handset manufacturer this quarter.

The HTC Ruby can undoubtedly be placed in the mid-to-high-end smartphones category, which is in line with the HTC new marketing policy.

According to Peter Chou, the company does not plan to launch low-priced models in the market, uncompromised to price competition.

In this regard, HTC reported its smartphone sales of 12.11 million units for the second quarter of this year, up 25% from a quarter earlier and exceeding its original projection of between 11 million and 11.5 million units.
