T-Mobile USA has just confirmed that Samsung Galaxy S III is about to receive a minor update, which is expected to bring some improvements and bug fixes.

Rumor has it that the update will also remove the Universal Search ability, or at least it will cripple the feature in order to avoid any Apple patent infringements.

However, this is not listed among the changes included in this maintenance update, so it has yet to be confirmed by Galaxy S III owners. The following improvements and bug fixes have been added in this update:

- Resolved the error, ‘Enter MAC address' after entering the correct MAC address in the Mobile HotSpot configuration page if the MAC address entered did not contain the colons (:) or spaces;
- Resolved issue where the contents of a Home screen folder would be rearranged alphabetically after a reboot;
- Resolved issue where the name does not populate when trying to add a contact with NameID information, you must manually add.
