T-Mobile G2, the first HSPA+ mobile phone from the wireless carrier, is nearing its release day pretty fast, and newer details on its hardware specifications have made it into the wild, along with some info on the price tag it should sport when launched.

The processor that powers this device is reportedly running at 800MHz, at least this is what the latest reports on it suggest.

The T-Mobile G2 was previously said to pack a MSM7x30 chip from Qualcomm, one that would be clocked in at 1GHz, but it seems that those reports were not accurate.

T-Mobile Scoop, the cellular carrier's insider newsletter, is the place to look for this piece of information, and also where we learn some more info on the upcoming handset.

“Brace yourself for blazing-fast downloads, browsing, and search. Stop waiting around for Web pages to load and open up the throttle on the 800 MHz Scorpion processor,” is what one can read on this page.

At the same time, the Android 2.2 Froyo OS on the device has been confirmed, and the same applies to support for Flash Player 10.1.

However, what is not said there is that the new mobile phone should land on the market with a pure vanilla Android build pre-loaded on it, which should make some enthusiasts quite happy.

Some leaked info on the price tag the T-Mobile G2 would sport also emerged into the wild, suggesting that it should cost $199 on a two-year contract, but this hasn't been confirmed for the time being, it seems.

For what it's worth, it would not make sense for T-Mobile to price the new handset higher than that, even if it can offer support for 4G speeds on its HSPA+ network.

We should also note that there are still no details available on when the upcoming device might be released into the wild, though some on the previous rumors on it suggested it should arrive sometime towards the end of the month.
