T-Mobile Debuts Sparq Messaging Phone

T-Mobile USA has silently added the Sparq feature-phone to its pre-paid lineup. The messaging phone is available for just $79.99 (58 EUR).

The affordable T-Mobile Sparq offers only basic features such a mediocre photo snapper, FM radio (requires headphones sold separately), music player, and Bluetooth connectivity.

However, the Sparq comes with enhanced messaging features, including a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, allowing for fast and accurate text input.

In addition, T-Mobile Sparq comes with 32 MB of ROM and a 670mAh Li-Ion battery, which is rated by the manufacturer for up to 11 hours of talk time or 500 hours of standby.

The phone supports GSM 850/1900 MHz networks and is delivered with Stereo hands-free headset in the sales package.

Nothing spectacular about the T-Mobile Sparq, which makes it perfect for a second phone or a handset aimed at seniors.
