T-Mobile USA, Inc. announced on Wednesday that the T-Mobile Dash 3G would officially come to the company's lineup, and that the 3G-enabled smartphone would become available for purchase at a certain point in July. According to the carrier, the new handset, a version of the already known HTC Snap, is aimed at offering users a wide range of personal and professional connections, as well as fast data delivery and Web browsing through the operator's 3G network and the handset's Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g) connectivity options.

The new T-Mobile Dash 3G comes to the market running under Microsoft's Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system and features a glossy-black finish with red accents. In addition, the device also sports a full-QWERTY keyboard, an easy-to-use trackball and a candybar form factor. Users can enjoy easy ways of staying connected through voice calling, messaging, and the support for personal and business e-mails, along with location-based services enabled through the built-in GPS receiver. At the same time, the handset also includes synchronization with Microsoft Outlook, and other tools that customers need to organize their lives.

“As millions of families prepare to hit the road this summer, T-Mobile is offering our first 3G-enabled Windows Mobile smartphone to help customers stay connected, organized and traveling in the right direction,” Travis Warren, director, product marketing, T-Mobile USA, said. “We’re excited to offer the power and style of the T-Mobile Dash 3G with high-speed Internet access thanks to T-Mobile’s rapidly expanding 3G network.”

The T-Mobile Dash 3G, HTC says, is meant to offer customers an easy way to stay connected at all times, and also the possibility to organize their busy lives through the features included inside the package. “HTC is pleased to continue its long history of working closely with T-Mobile as we today introduce the next generation of the popular T-Mobile Dash,” Jason Mackenzie, vice president, HTC America, stated.

According to T-Mobile USA, the newly announced T-Mobile Dash 3G is expected to come to the market in July, and will become available for purchase through the company's retail stores and via select authorized dealers, as well as online, on the operator's site. Unfortunately, no specific details on the pricing of the smartphone were unveiled.
