T-Mobile announces rate plan changes

T-Mobile is another wireless carrier that has recently announced changes to its rate plans, following recent announcements made by Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile. As many of you might remember, the two stated recently that prepaid users would be able to enjoy Unlimited voice and/or text messaging for as little as $50, and T-Mobile is now reported to plan on adding “unlimited mobile to mobile on all single line plans at $49.99 and higher, at no additional cost.”

While this change applies to Individual Plans, the mobile phone carrier has more to offer its subscribers that have a Family Plan. The company announced that these customers would be able to enjoy a promotional myFaves plan for $89.99, which would offer them 1800 minutes, unlimited nights and weekends, unlimited mobile to mobile and my Faves.

Moreover, those who have $99.99 and $129.99 FamilyTime Plans will now have 500 additional minutes added at no additional cost, while for the $119.99 and $149.99 myFaves for families plans the company also announces the addition of 500 extra minutes, which come along with a price cut of $10 each.

The operator further stated that the Family Allowance had seen changes as well, and that the introductory period for Family Allowances was ending, new customers having to pay a $4.99 per month price per account.

The new changes that T-Mobile will soon make to its plans sound nice, though they are not groundbreaking. For what it's worth, the company seems determined to show that it is capable of providing its users with attractive rate plans and great services, not to mention the fact that they also have a wide range of mobile phones to choose from. One might expect to hear a major revamp on the carrier’s part, and, although it is not time just yet, some more changes might surface in the future, so stay tuned.
