Wireless services provider T-Mobile USA has officially unveiled the upcoming availability of Samsung’s Galaxy Note smartphone on its network.

The new mobile phone, the largest Android-based handset in the world, will arrive at the carrier in the next weeks, with a nice range of appealing features packed inside.

Galaxy Note will be one of the fastest devices on T-Mobile’s network, capable of taking advantage of its 4G (HSPA+ 42) network.

At the same time, the new smartphone will land on shelves with Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, while also featuring Samsung’s Premium Suite right from the start.

Samsung has packed Galaxy Note with a 5.3-inch touchscreen display, a Super AMOLED capable of delivering an HD resolution, as well as with an elegant design that should make it great to use both for work and leisure.

Galaxy Note also comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 Processor with 1.5 Ghz Dual-Core CPU inside, WiFi Calling, Mobile HotSpot functionality, and a microSD memory card slot to expand the available internal memory by up to 32GB.

On the back, the new device sports an 8-megapixel photo snapper, capable of recording videos in full HD resolution, complemented by a front camera for making video calls.

Among the most appealing features of the device, we can count the aforementioned Premium Suite, which includes apps such as S Pen, S Note, S Memo and Polaris Office.

“Now T-Mobile customers can write notes, to-do lists and annotate documents; share ideas and edited content; and create documents, presentations and spreadsheets to maximize efficiency while on the go,” the wireless carrier explains.

“S Note helps to professionalize communications by providing templates for seven commonly used documents such as an idea note, travel notes, diary entry, meeting notes and recipes. S Note also allows you to import and annotate a PDF file and convert dictated or handwritten memos to text with the Continual Voice Input and Handwriting-to-Text features.”

There is also S Memo, which offers one-touch access to creating a typewritten, handwritten or voice dictated memo. The app also enables users to search for information while reading, and allows them to add images.

“The Galaxy Note also has the SAFE (Samsung Approved for Enterprise) designation, […] including comprehensive IT policy support for top-tier mobile device management (MDM) providers, on-device AES256-bit encryption, enhanced support for Microsoft Exchange, as well as integrated support for a range of virtual private network (VPN) solutions.”

No specific info on the phone’s arrival or pricing was provided. However, T-Mobile did say that it would be available in select retail locations and online in the coming weeks.
