Probably preparing for the arrival of Tocco and HTC Dream, T-Mobile USA has decided to offer all of its current Samsung mobile phones for free. According to Cell Phone Signal, this promotional offer starts on September 3 and will end on October 14, allowing users to get, for free, any of the 11 Samsung handsets that are now in T-Mobile's lineup.

Of course, T-Mobile already has four Samsung phones that cost 0 bucks with the signing of a contract agreement for two years: Samsung Beat, Samsung t219, Samsung t409 and Samsung t439. However, the other South Korean phones are being sold for prices between $20 and $80, so the news could interest lots of mobile users who might be in need of a new handset.

Anyway, customers should keep in mind that the free prices will only be available with a contract agreement for two years and, in some cases, after mail-in rebates.

The phones that will be offered by T-Mobile for free are (their current 2-year contract prices are also listed):

- Samsung t429 ($19.99);

- Samsung t229 ($29.99);

- Samsung Blast ($39.99);

- Samsung t399 ($49.99);

- Samsung t639 ($49.99);

- Samsung Katalyst ($79.99);

- and the 3G Samsung t819 ($79.99);

In conclusion, although there is no high-end handset among the aforementioned ones, T-Mobile's subscribers will still have a nice range of phones to choose from.

September 3, the date when the promo offer debuts, coincides with the release of Sony Ericsson TM506, the brand new 3G handset that was officially presented last week. Moreover, in the next few months, the fourth largest carrier also intends to offer the following handsets: Samsung Tocco T919, the Android-powered HTC Dream, the 5 Megapixel Motorola ZN5 and BlackBerry KickStart. With such new and cool devices, it's somehow natural that the existing Samsung phones will "benefit" from price cuts, as this might be the only way to still keep users interested in buying them.
