A yellow and an orange version spotted

Motorola W450, said to be hitting T-Mobile USA sometime this fall, has recently been spotted in live images, before its official announcement. The handset might also be named MotoACTV or Motorola W6 by T-Mobile – the naming details are a bit confusing at the moment – and it will apparently come to replace the W490 model.

Currently offered by the fourth largest North American carrier for as little as $29.99 (with a 2-year contract agreement), Motorola W490 is about one year old, so it seems like it's time for its successor to appear. And while you'd expect this successor to bring lots of improved features, the truth is that the new Moto W450 is not too different from the old model. At least when it comes to features, because in terms of design the W450 / MotoACTV looks better (but that's just a personal statement).

While the old W490 is offered by T-Mo in no less than five color versions, the new W450 will come only in two. According to the new leaked images that I mentioned above (spotted on the TmoNews forums), Motorola W450 will have an orange and a yellow edition – good colors for active people.

Like the W490, the upcoming W450 is a clamshell phone. Its features should include quad-band GSM connectivity with GPRS and EDGE, myFaves capabilities, Motorola's CrystalTalk technology, Music player, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, Instant Messaging, expandable memory and so on.

Although a September 3 release date was previously rumored, Motorola W450 is (obviously) not available yet; however, T-Mobile should come up with the new clamshell phone pretty soon – maybe even before the end of September.

No word yet on the price of Motorola W450, but users who will also opt for a T-Mobile contract agreement should be able to get the phone for less than $100.
