Thrustmaster is well known for throwing top notch peripherals at consoles. For example, last month, Wii gamers got the T-Wireless NW gamepad, which, aside looking sexy, it sports more and better features than the console's classic controller. More recently though, Thrustmaster turned its head towards flight sim fans and owners of Sony's PlayStation 3 and/or PC. The T.Flight Stick X looks like the perfect choice to make the most out of games such as Flight Simulator X or Blazing Angels.

The respective joystick even ships with default configurations allowing gamers to give it a go in the most popular aerial simulation titles currently available on PC and PS3. T.Flight Stick X is the first PS3 joystick, just so everyone knows.

Thrustmaster's joystick also promises to faithfully reproduce the sensations experienced by pilots, with a weighted base for perfect stability (even when carrying out sharp maneuvers), large hand-rest for comfortable use, rapid-fire trigger for optimal performance, rudder for effective flat turns, throttle to control fuel flow, multidirectional hat-switch, as well as technology features such as mapping to adapt each of the 12 buttons and 4 axes according to the user's preferences, presets and the possibility to save the latest configurations.

Digging through Thrustmaster's official website, we've discovered some of the main features the T.Flight Stick X sports. Here they are:

2 Default Configurations for PC - Flight Simulator X (Microsoft) and PS3 - Blazing Angels (Ubisoft) Unique: Plug & Play device offering extremely simple and quick installation, with all features preconfigured for immediate and hassle-free take-off! Extremely precise joystick with adjustable resistance control Weighted base for enhanced stability Ergonomic throttle lever Wide hand rest for perfect comfort Rotating handle with built-in locking system offering flawless control over plane rudder Airbrake (civilian flight) or rapid fire (military flight) trigger with multidirectional hat (panoramic view) Exclusive MAPPING button allows users to instantly relocate functions from one button to another Exclusive button enables users to instantly switch from one programmed configuration to another Internal memory stores all programmed configurations, even when the joystick is disconnected from the PC Fully programmable: 12 buttons and 4 axes, all extensively programmable. 100% PS3 and PC compatible

Still, Thrustmaster clearly mentions that T.Flight Stick X excludes games exclusively controllable via the Motion Sensor function, as far as compatibility goes. The rest of the games however, should work perfectly with this peripheral, whether it's a PS3 flight sim, or a PC title of the same genre.
