14 DAY TRIAL // The System Center Monitoring Pack for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 is no live on the Microsoft Download Center.
Available for download free of charge the tool is designed to simplify the management of Dynamics CRM 2011 for System Center customers.
Of course, System Center is a requirement for this offering, specifically, customers need to be running either System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) 2007 SP1 or System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2.
After they’ll install the System Center Monitoring Pack, IT professionals will be able to seamlessly administer the Dynamics CRM 2011 application.
“The views, monitors, rules, and knowledge specific to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 that comprise this Monitoring Pack provide the means for System Center Operations Manager users to centrally manage the server application, its component services, and the computers on which they run,” Microsoft reveals.
“The Monitoring Pack for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 also contains monitoring for the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 E-mail Router and Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Reporting Extensions.”
The Pack is designed to help OT pros keep an eye on additional components beyond just Dynamics CRM Server 2011, Dynamics CRM 2011 E-mail Router and Dynamics CRM 2011 Reporting Extensions.
Essentially, customers will also be able to monitor the Dynamics CRM Asynchronous Processing Service, Sandbox Processing Service, E-mail Router Service, Unzip Service, www Publishing Service and the Indexing Service.
Among the additional application components covered by the tool are: ISV plug-ins, web applications and the database, the software giant said. At the same time, IT pros will receive alerts for failures related to errors in the configuration of Dynamics CRM 2011.
“By managing these Microsoft Dynamics CRM components in System Center Operations Manager, the administrator can respond quickly to critical events and key performance indicators, and take action to prevent service outages, reduce the resolution time for alert conditions, and increase the overall availability and performance of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM system,” the company added.
