At the Microsoft Management Summit in Las Vegas, Brad Anderson, corporate vice president of the Management and Security Division at Microsoft, took the stage to announce the availability of System Center 2012.

The solution was released for both evaluation and purchase, and interested enterprise customers can find it available today from Microsoft.

According to Microsoft, its solution will help customers all around the world move faster, save money and better compete when using Microsoft private cloud.

System Center 2012 will provide businesses with a variety of cloud computing benefits, including greater agility, increased focus on innovation and significant cost savings.

In fact, the Redmond-based software giant notes that these capabilities will be available for companies interested in becoming more efficient across private, public and hybrid clouds.

Microsoft’s private cloud, which has been built on System Center 2012 and Windows Server Hyper-V, provides IT departments with the possibility to create and manage reliable cloud services, capable of delivering the applications that companies need.

System Center 2012 client solutions help meet this challenge:

- System Center 2012 Configuration Manager helps IT empower people to use the devices and applications they need to be productive while maintaining corporate compliance and control. It provides a unified management infrastructure across physical, virtual, and mobile client environments.

- System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection (previously known as Forefront Endpoint Protection 2010) protects client and server operating systems against the latest threats using industry-leading malware detection technologies. It is built on System Center 2012 Configuration Manager, giving customers a unified infrastructure for client security and compliance management.

Additionally, Microsoft’s Brad Anderson notes that System Center 2012 and other Microsoft cloud solutions were meant to help “IT address the consumerization of IT.”

“We take a “people-centric approach” that empowers end-users to employ any device, anywhere, boosting productivity while providing you with governance and control. Tune into my keynote tomorrow at 8:30 AM PT where I will talk more about those trends and our solutions,” he notes.
