They also deny that their members have been identified

Over the past few days, we’ve seen numerous attempts to unmask the members of the notorious Syrian Electronic Army

Most of the attempts to identify the members of the group are based on data leaked by some hackers from the Syrian Electronic Army’s own website while they were moving it to a host in Russia.

Many of those who have analyzed the data, including security expert Brian Krebs, say it legitimately appears to come from SEA’s website. However, the hackers deny that their website has been compromised.

In addition, they keep denying that the individuals appointed as being part of the group are anything else than their “friends.”

“We can guarantee our website has never been hacked, those who claim to have hacked it should publish their evidence. Don't hold your breath. In any case we do not have any sensitive or personal data on a public server,” the hackers said in an interview with Mashable.

“We are a distributed group, most of what we have and need is on our own machines and we collaborate on IRC.”
