The Syrian Electronic Army has hacked the GlobalPost news service, again. This time the hackers claim to have deleted the website.

“We hope that you guys enjoying your time looking at your deleted website,” the hackers wrote a few hours ago on Twitter.

“GlobalPost has apparently been hacked by the Syrian Electronic Army. We are working hard to restore our site as soon as possible,” GlobalPost stated on Facebook.

While the website was offline, GlobalPost published news on Facebook and on their Tumblr page.

At the time of writing, the GlobalPost website appears to be working properly. However, it’s uncertain if the vulnerabilities leveraged by the Syrian Electronic Army have been patched up.

The hackers first targeted GlobalPost a couple of days ago. At the time, they threatened the publication over an article regarding the identities of Syrian Electronic Army members.

“Think twice before you publish untrusted information about Syrian Electronic Army (SEA). This time we shutdown your website and take down your Twitter account, next time you start searching for new job,” the hacktivists said at the time.
