SymmetricDS 3.6.0, an open source software for multi-master database replication, filtered synchronization, or transformation across the network in a heterogeneous environment, is now available for download.

SymmetricDS 3.6.0 supports multiple subscribers with one- or bi-directional asynchronous data replication and uses technologies to replicate tables between relational databases.

This latest update for the software is actually quite large and comes with a lot of changes. For example, the ability to sync with a control file has been added, support has been implemented for spatial data replication, support has been added for multiple channels for file sync, downgrades within the same minor version are now allowed, restarting the server no longer crashes due to a primary key violation, and the PostgreSQL server side prepared statements are no longer causing slow query processing.

Also, a drop triggers feature has been added, a bulk loader for MySQL has been implemented, BLOB support is now available for the PostgreSQL bulk loader, a setting has been added to the sym_node_group_link to prevent clients from updating configuration, the JDBC drivers have been upgraded, and the support for db.spring.bean.name is available again after it was removed in a previous version.
