Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia is getting ready to have yet another Symbian^3-based mobile phone pushed to the market, namely the Nokia C7. Still unofficial, the new mobile phone has recently made it into the wild via a series of leaked photos, and it is expected to make an appearance on shelves with an 8-megapizel photo snapper on the back.

A recently leaked document that emerged into the wild, allegedly a legitimate Nokia file, showed that the company was indeed planning releasing a Nokia C7 mobile phone, and the new photos might actually bring to light the actual device. However, we'll take this with a grain of salt, at least until more confirmation on the matter surfaces.

In the meantime, we should take a look at the photos that are now available with the phone, as well as at some of the specifications it is rumored to come to the market with. That 8-megapixel behemoth is said to come with dual-LED flash attached to it, while the display of the device should be of 3.5-inches, according to a post on this Chinese site.

The fact that Nokia C7 should come with touchscreen capabilities does not come as a surprise, though it is still unclear whether it will be a capacitive or a resistive display, or whether the Symbian^3 operating system will indeed power the phone. One way or the other, one should expect for Nokia C7 to include multi-touch capabilities, rumor has it.

Looking back in time a little, we should have a look at the aforementioned leaked document from Nokia, which shows reference to handsets like Nokia N9, X7, or E7, in addition to an S-series lineup. According to Engadget, the N9 might be the company's first MeeGo-based phone, while it and the unannounced E7, C7, and X7 should be delivered to the market in 2010. As for the S-series, no details are available at the moment, except for the following description (translated from French): “A name reserved for limited phones. Mobiles that do not fit in other categories come in here.”
