Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia was rumored not too long ago to plan the launch of a Nokia C7-00 device that would run under the Symbian^3 operating system, and a series of newly leaked details on the device have just emerged. Most of these details seem set to prove that the device in question is real, and that Nokia would be able to pack high-end features inside devices outside the Nseries range.

The specifications list of the Nokia C7-00 shows that the device would indeed run under the Symbian^3 operating system. The leading handset vendor said not too long ago that we're to see many handsets pushed to the market with this OS on board, though it confirmed that the already official Nokia N8 would be the only Nseries device to run under it.

Other specs of Nokia C7-00 include a 3.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display that would boast a 640 x 360 pixel (nHD) resolution, something that might have been expected from a Symbian-based mobile phone. The display is also expected to come with multi-touch support. On the back, the handset should include an 8-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus, dual LED flash and video recording capabilities.

According to the leaked info on this device, which emerged over at Engadget China, Nokia would pack 720p video capture functionality to that 8MP camera, which is pretty impressive, one should agree. Moreover, it seems that the C7-00 would arrive on shelves with a microUSB port and a 3.5mm audio jack, as well as with microSD memory card slot for additional storage space to be included into the equation. Other features would include various widgets, Kinetic scrolling, support for YouTube videos playback, and more.

The Nokia C7-00 is expected to be aimed at the mass-market, while including most of the features that the Nokia N8 would also pack inside. However, Nokia still hasn't made an official announcement on this beauty, though it might not be too long before it does so. Chances are that the phone would be brought to the market at about the same time as Nokia N8, namely in the fourth quarter of 2010.
