Symantec has just released a new version of its popular Norton Studio app for Windows 8, introducing several improvements and bug fixes aimed at all builds of Microsoft's new operating system.

The official release notes published in the Windows Store only point to some performance enhancements and stability fixes, so Norton Studio should now run a bit smoother, no matter what Windows 8 version you're using.

Norton Studio can be used to quickly manage the Norton software solutions installed on your computer, so the app can only work on x86 and x64 versions of Windows 8, as no Symantec security product is yet available for Windows RT users.

Of course, the app comes at absolutely no cost, while the update is delivered to consumers via the integrated Windows Store.
