On May 18, 2013, Symantec quietly retired its PC Tools Security portfolio. The company says that PC Tools Utilities products will not be impacted.

As an alternative, the security firm recommends customers to try out its new Norton Internet Security. Special offers have been made available to existing PC Tools Security customers.

The security firm says it’s trying to focus on streamlining its product range and offer fewer, but better solutions.

Existing customers will benefit from support as long as their subscription is active, but after that, they will have to choose an alternative product.

In a FAQ published on its PC Tools website, Symantec allows customers to view their Norton offers by entering their license code in a designated field.
