Sylvester Stallone is hard at work on the next “Expendables” installment. He’s just confirmed that Nicolas Cage is officially attached to the project, with many other stars currently in negotiations.

As you might remember, word that Cage would also appear in the third film first started making the rounds this September.

It’s now official.

“We are preparing the film with the same passion and commitment as the previous two. We have confirmed Nicolas Cage, a master actor who gives a veneer intellectual group,” Stallone writes on his official Facebook page.

He also offers plenty of details about other stars currently in negotations.

“Hopefully we can realize to Harrison Ford, Wesley Snipes and Mickey Rourke. That is the great mission of the producer. We will continue with the same narrative scheme, the agility and the frenzy, which are inherent to the saga,” Sly writes.

He also talks about the possibility of making another “Expendables” film after this one, admitting that the plan was from the first to make just two.

However, considering how well they fared, they have now decided to keep making them for as long as audiences are willing to pay money to see them, which, I believe, will be another few years.
