Swype, the popular input technology, is expected to become available for devices powered by Google's Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system before the end of this month. Swype has just announced plans to have its virtual keyboard loaded on Android 4.0 devices, and we can expect them to make the move as planned.

“Good news! Official ICS support is near. Final tweaks and testing should be done in time for an anticipated end-of-month beta update,” Swype announced on Twitter.

Swype's third-party keyboard uses word prediction technology along with swiping motions to enable users to type faster on the touchscreen displays of their devices.

An unofficial version of the application was already made available for Galaxy Nexus users out there. Last month, the company launched a new beta version of the application, one that includes Dragon Dictation, and which can be seen detailed in the video above.
