High performance liquid cooling for your AMD or Intel CPU

Shortly after the introduction of the high-end Apogee HD waterblock, Swiftech has made use of it in a new series of liquid cooling kits that are compatible with Intel's current and upcoming sockets as well as with AMD processors.

The new cooling kit series is actually comprised of two models, the H20-220 Edge HD and H20-320 Edge HD.

The main difference between the two lies in the radiator used as the former comes bundled with the MCR 220 Drive Rev3 (H20-220) radiator that has enough room for installing two 120mm fans, while the MCR 320 Drive Rev3 (H20-320) can fit three such fans.

Despite the difference is size, both of these include a built-in reservoir with dual fill-ports and caps and an MCP35X PWM-controlled pump.

Out of the box, Switech's new liquid cooling kits provide support for Intel LGA775, 1155, 1156, 1366, and 2011 processors, but buyers can also order a special AMD mounting kits that is available free of charge.

"This new generation offers an ease of installation which is very close to that of other all-in-one kits, but it does it without sacrificing performance and functionality.

"Users can take full advantage of the power of liquid cooling i.e. low temperature and low noise while not being restricted to CPU-only cooling as is the case with other all-in-one kits” said Gabriel Rouchon Swiftech’s Chairman & CTA.

"The bottom line is this: if you are going to use a dual or a triple 120mm radiator in your system, there is no question in my mind that it should be able to cool CPU, graphics, and anything else you want to throw at it,” concluded the company's rep.

Both the H20-220 Edge HD and H20-320 Edge HD liquid cooling kits are shipping right now to Swiftech dealers worldwide and have a recommended price of $229.95 and $269.95 (167 and 196 EUR), respectively.
