While liquid cooling normally requires a special chassis setup, there are a few products on the market which are factory sealed, meaning that they can be used as one would install any air cooler, and Swiftech has just revealed the existence of two such products, the H20-220 Edge and H20-320 Edge.
Enthusiasts may or may not be inclined towards setting up their own liquid cooling solutions, but those that are not familiar with them should find these Swiftech's new creations quite intriguing.
The factory-sealed coolers employ the Apogee XTL CPU waterblock, as well as an MCR X20 Drive radiator.
The MCR X20 radiator is assisted by two 120mm fans, in the case of the H20-220, and a full set of three such spinner in the case of the H20-320.
What's more, the coolers are designed with an MCP-35X pump that features PWM (Pulse-width modulation).
What's more, the pump comes with 1/2-inch ID (3/4-inch OD) tubing and fittings.
"While Swiftech's Ultra, Ultima and Apex series of liquid cooling kits have set the performance standard among power users for the past 5 years, the Edge series combine equal or superior performance with the new triple radiator, a broader gamut of utilizations, and most of all a stupendous ease of installation that will appeal to anyone willing to make the jump into serious liquid cooling," said Gabriel Rouchon, Swiftech's Chairman and CTA.
With respective prices of $309.95 and $339.95, the Swiftech H20-220 Edge and H20-320 Edge can be outfitted with 3/8-inch ID tubing and fittings, only these components are sold separately.
“Capitalizing on 10 years of experience in designing and manufacturing liquid cooling systems, Swiftech also turbo-charges user-support by including multiple sets of accessories to accommodate various installation strategies, and they provide one of the most comprehensive installation guides in the industry which includes dozens of fully detailed pre-built 3D models,” states the official
press release.
