They had to do it...!

If there's anything worse than customizing something that looks great just the way it is, it's this: the Swarovski Crystal-styled MacBook Air. Needless to say, we're just expressing the most subjective opinion possible, which means that if you dig the Crystal Icing's design, no one says you shouldn't grab it for yourself.

"We took all those sleepless nights you guys spent on shaving off every little gram on that
Macbook Air... and added a 1/2 pound of Swarovski Crystals and an extra 1/8th inch of thickness, but isn't it HOT!?," says Crystal Icing.

Well, the design is pretty neat, I must say. Now, if I could just set my brain to believe that those are not actual Swarovskis invading private "Air-space." Better yet, I'll just save my breath, 'cause there's so much glamour going on, I can't comprehend exactly what's going on or how to describe it, and just leave you, the readers, answer that question.

Now, why don't we take our eyes off the Crystal Air and look at something a bit more different, like the 24-carat gold MacBook Pro, complete with diamond-studded Apple logo. Take a look at the image to the left (click to enlarge). Although Computer Choppers' idea of customizing a laptop is just a tad better than Crystal Icing's (again, in our opinion), these guys have done a great job at it nonetheless.

Just look at its streamlined design. Not a dent on it. Well, of course there're no dents otherwise no one would buy. But the finishing is just awesome! Adding the diamond-studded Apple logo to the picture, I can see this in the hands of Sean "P.Diddy" Combs. Him and Tutankhamun.

Other companies dealing with designs and customizing methods have chosen means that are cheaper, more traditional, and (I'll just say it, hoping not to hurt anyone's feelings) with better taste, for customizing a laptop. Those guys are Colorware and they can hook you up with a kick-a** Air for around 500 bucks. Hey, we didn't say it was cheap. It's just cheaper than what the other two companies are offering.

Be sure to sound off in the comments on this one.
