The wife of the worldwide known director James Cameron, Suzy Amis Cameron, is announcing the debut of one of the most eco-conscious design contests organized on an annual basis, the 2012 Red Carpet Green Dress Contest.

She has revealed her eagerness to select some of the best gown designs, manufactured using only 100% natural or recycled materials, Ecorazzi informs.

This initiative was first introduced in 2010, in an attempt to promote sustainable fashion and inspire young designers to follow the same path.

Apparently, this time the winning masterpiece will be worn by a celebrity and admired by millions of fans during the 84th Academy Awards. In order to participate to this fashion show and present innovative design ideas, talented enthusiasts will have to pay $65 (€50.65).

Suzy Amis Cameron is no stranger to environmentally friendly projects, since her MUSE school is currently considered one of the greenest education centers ever built all across the globe.
