The Boston Police Department have announced that they have captured the runaway suspect in the marathon explosions.

"CAPTURED!!! The hunt is over. The search is done. The terror is over. And justice has won. Suspect in custody," they let the world know via Twitter.

As I wrote yesterday, the man detained by the FBI and the Boston police is 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, a former resident of Russia.

His brother, 26-year-old Tamerlan, was killed on Friday, April 19 while trying to evade police in an explosive-ridden chase that has led law enforcement to Watertown in Massachusetts.

The suspects entered the US some 10 years ago and the older brother was awarded permanent residency in 2007.

As reported, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was studying in Cambridge, having been awarded a scholarship from a local high-school in 2011.

A practicing Muslim, Tamerlan Tsarnaev described himself as “very religious” and practiced boxing.
