Susan will perform on an upcoming episode of X Factor, the show of Simon Cowell, her mentor and the one who helped her on her first album, the Mirror says.

As of now, details are still sketchy, and producers for the highly popular show have not yet made any comment regarding the ongoing rumors. Still, insiders say for the tab, such a performance would make perfect sense, since Susan has her debut album coming out later this month and she needs to generate publicity for it. X Factor is ideal in this sense because it has impressive ratings and is a fan favorite.

“It makes perfect sense and will create a big buzz. There are two shows to fill on Saturday and Sunday nights now, so they’re also planning guest appearances from previous winners and runners-up as well as celebrity guests.” an unnamed source with good knowledge of the plans for the upcoming editions of the show says for the Mirror. Putting on a performance for X Factor like the one she gave on America’s Got Talent a short while ago would generate plenty of positive reviews and, of course, media attention for her “I Dreamed a Dream” debut album.

“Robbie Williams and Alexandra Burke are expected to perform on the first live shows with Whitney Houston and judge Cheryl Cole, who has a solo single out, appearing the following week.” the Mirror further says of the celebrity lineup prepared for the upcoming editions of X Factor. Robbie Williams, as we also reported a while back, will be performing “Bodies,” his first single off the comeback album “Reality Killed the Video Star,” his first material in three years.

As for what Susan Boyle will perform, things are sketchy here too. Judging by how well her cover of the Rolling Stones classic “Wild Horses” was received by audiences all over the world, chances are she’ll do a repeat of her performance on America’s Got Talent.
