Britain’s Got Talent sensation hits the road, is still as popular as ever

Almost four years ago, a woman who used to sing in the church choir until she showed up for an audition on Britain’s Got Talent, Susan Boyle, became an Internet superstar thanks to her angelic voice. She has now kicked off her first ever live tour.

Perhaps this comes as no surprise, but Susan is as popular as – if not actually more than – ever. Other singers who get their launching pad on such shows turn out to be a flash in the pan but, with Susan, true talent can’t simply fade away.

Before kicking off her first live show last night, Scotsman reported that Susan was expected to sell out completely. In fact, at the time of writing, 98 percent of the tickets had already been sold, so selling out was clearly just a technicality.

“She is really excited. She travelled to Inverness on Sunday and has been doing dress rehearsals. Susan is really enjoying the process building up to the shows,” a spokesperson for Susan tells the publication.

The first show was in Inverness, with other dates set for the Highlands, Aberdeen, Dundee, Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Above is Susan’s first audition for BGT, just in case you never had the chance to see it.
