Susan Boyle got waxed: the Scottish singing sensation just unveiled her own waxwork at Madame Tussauds in Blackpool, which will be open to the public starting today. Even Susan herself was surprised at the likeness.

For the recently unveiled waxwork, the singer donated the black sparkly dress she wore for the video for “Wild Horses,” a cover of Rolling Stones’ hit by the same name.

Nevertheless, she failed to dress in a similar fashion, as celebrities usually do at these events.

Nevertheless, the resemblance between the waxwork and the real thing was so big that even Susan herself was surprised by it, the Daily Mail reports.

“What can you say? They have done a very good job. It feels fantastic,” Susan said, even touching the nose of the wax statue, as if making sure it wasn’t of flesh.

“It was such a great process to be involved in and it looks very realistic. She’s doing a better job than me!” the singer added laughing heartily.

Later on, as she continued to pose for pictures and giggle joyfully, Susan admitted that she’d thought of a better place for her waxwork: next to “Simon Cowell of course, no doubt about that.”

Until that happens, she’ll be in good company.

“Her model will stand in the Big Night In area of the attraction, alongside the likes of Bruce Forsyth, Gok Wan and Alan Carr,” the Mail reports.

Her waxwork cost £150,000 to make and will join other 71 figures in “interactive displays,” the British publication further says.

Speaking of working with the singer, who rose to fame on last year’s Britain’s Got Talent and has been selling millions of albums ever since, the general manager of the exhibition says it’s like a dream come true.

“We are delighted to welcome Susan at Madam Tussauds Blackpool today as we put finishing touches to our exciting new attraction,” Matthew Titherington adds, also for the Mail.
