Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle had a rather embarrassing moment while performing live on The View, perhaps not realizing the show was live. She stopped in mid-song and asked if she could start over again.

As the first video of the two embedded below will show, Susan took to the stage to perform “O Holy Night” off her recently released and already chart-topping album, “The Gift.”

At first, everything goes smoothly, but at a certain point, Susan realizes she can’t make her voice hit the high notes and she coughs a bit, making an “I’m sorry” face.

She tries again but, this time, it’s clear that she needs to clear her voice properly to put on one of her stellar performances – which is precisely what she does.

The singer backs away from the mic and, perhaps not realizing that the show is live, asks the producer if she can have a do-over. She gets no audible response so, for a few seconds, she simply stands there awkwardly.

Finally, hosts Whoopi and Sherri step in to save the situation, and the three start talking about the new album, what it’s like to perform live and the odds of having “a frog down your throat,” and how she wants the new material to be her “gift” to fans.

As commenters on video-sharing sites like YouTube note, it’s clear that Susan is embarrassed by her little mishap, so it’s wonderful to see the two hosts being so graceful about it.

Some even joke saying Susan wouldn’t have had a problem if it hadn’t been for all that fog there – obviously an exaggeration.

Later, after the show wrapped, Susan re-taped her performance of “O Holy Night” for the West Coast, so viewers there got to see the kind of superb performance they were accustomed to.

You can also see this one in the second video below. Here is Susan Boyle on The View. Enjoy.
