Research from a deal-focused website shows that a wide majority of gamers surveyed in the United Kingdom do not understand the concept behind the new Wii Mini console from Nintendo.

The hierarchy of the answers goes like this:

Don’t see the point - 74% No advance in graphics - 56% Just rehashing an old console, not a technological advancement- 49% Small size not a big enough selling point- 47% Already own an original Wii - 42%

More than 1,000 adult players in the United Kingdom answered questions about the new console, which had initially been available only in Canada, and which is launching at the end of the month in other territories.

The Wii Mini was first offered in late 2012 and lacks any way to access the Internet, cannot use SD cards and lacks backwards compatibility.
