She was dubbed a “fashion icon” at just 3 years old, so perhaps it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that Suri Cruise, now 5, is reportedly already penning her first book: a children’s book, of course.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ adorable daughter is extremely talented – so talented that her parents are seriously considering publishing the book she’s been working on until now, the moment it’s done.

Not only is she writing it, but she’s also doing the illustrations to accompany the story, InTouch Weekly writes in its latest print issue (story via here).

“According to a family friend, the 5-year-old is currently penning her own children’s book! And her parents, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, think it’s so good, they plan to publish it when she’s finished,” the tab writes.

The source insists that Suri is a young genius, which is why her parents are so supportive of her writing.

“Suri is smart beyond her years. Not only is she writing the book, she’s also working on all the illustrations. She is actually very talented for someone so young,” the unnamed family friend reveals.

“Tom and Katie are careful not to push her too hard, but of course they think she is a little genius,” adds the pal.

For the time being, Suri is still working on the book and is yet to come up with a name. According to the insider, it will tell the story of a young girl who lives in a huge Beverly Hills mansion, with InTouch even joking that Suri might be writing her autobiography.

Ever since before she was born, Suri fascinated the press and the blogosphere, mostly because of her parents’ deep connections with the Church of Scientology, one of the biggest religious cults in Hollywood.

At 3, fashion insiders were referring to her with terms like “icon” and “fashionista,” as also noted above.
