BlueStacks has already launched an application that allows Windows 8 users to run Android apps on their desktop computers and laptops, but the company now plans to step into the Windows RT tablets’ world too.

According to a company representative replying to a post on the official support forums, a dedicated BlueStacks version for Windows RT could be released early next year.

“We are considering offering BlueStacks for Windows R/T next year,” a company official said.

While there’s no official information regarding BlueStacks for Windows RT, such an application could actually support sales of Microsoft’s new platform, as the lack of apps is currently deemed one of the main reasons for Surface RT’s slow debut.

According to unofficial sources, there are approximately 25,000 apps available in the Windows Store right now.
