Windows Phone 7 devices have just got better, with a nice series of new applications now available for them via the 5,000+ apps Marketplace

, and a 3D browser, called SurfCube, is among them.

As its name suggests, the new 3D browser for Windows Phone 7, developed by Kinabalu Innovation Limited, has an interface that sports a 3D cube effect.

“The browser fills the entire screen, and the controls are placed on the sides of a cube which can be rotated in 3D with your finger or by flicking the phone itself,” the app's description on WP7Applist, available here, reads.

However, once you've turned to one or another face of the cube, the app would display everything in 2D, and all the browsing will be made this way.

Even so, the application remains a rather appealing one, and pretty fun to use as well, that's for sure. It's developers claim that it would be able to prove a very effective web browser for Windows Phone 7.

The SurfCube browser comes with a nice range of features, including: - Supports landscape and portrait orientation - Orientation lock allows you to read in any position you like (on the bed for example) - Private mode for when you want to buy gifts for your spouse :) - Can run under the lock screen so returning after being powered off is instantaneous - History and favorites to help finding that website again - Bandwidth saver mode - even for websites that don't have a mobile mode, you can save a lot of bandwidth, making downloads faster and filling your download quota slower. Even images can be turned off for a truly fast and low cost browsing!

According to Kinabalu Innovation Limited, the 3D browser is set to receive other features soon, which would suggest that an update might be on its way in the near future.

The application is available for purchase for $1.99, and has been already added to the Windows Phone Marketplace. Have a look at the video embedded below, via WMPoweruser, to learn more on it.
